Monkey n around

Our little monkies got to celebrate with their friends Julia and Jocelyn as they turned two last weekend. It was a fabulous party, with monkey decorations and details galore! And, quite possibly the cutest monkey cupcakes I've ever seen...

Anna had a blast "monkey n around" (read: running as fast as she possibly could from one side of the house to the other) with her buddy Owen, and Kate had fun crawling aorund with her gal pal Charlotte. And, they both had a blast celebrating with the birthday girls. Thanks for a great party!

Adventure Fridays

My friend, Melanie, and I both work part-time, but on different schedules, so always seem to have a hard time getting together as much as we'd like. And, we both always wish we were doing a bit more adventurous things with our girls. And so...Adventure Fridays were born! We both are off work on Fridays, so what better time to take adventures together?

For our first (and, ok, only thus far) Adventure Friday, we let Anna choose our destination and--no big surprise--she chose the Children's Museum! I think all six of us girls had a great time! With the rate at which these tots move, I wasn't able to capture many pics of all the girls, but at least got Mel, her two ladies, and Anna painting above.

And, the "big girls" (sans Kate) doing scooter races together...

While she's not quite big enough yet to do many of the activities that the other girls do, Kate of course still had a great time! She's a trooper...

And, as usual, Anna always seems to have some of the most fun finding creative ways to play with "baby toys" so that she can play with Kate. These girls couldn't ask for better sisters in each other...

Happy Valentine's from our little love bugs

We hope everyone had as great of a Valentine's Day as we did! Anna has declared Valentine's Day her "favorite holiday", so needless to say she was thrilled with all the festivities! And, Kate was just happy to get to experience Valentine's Day for the first time, and tag along to her sister's events!

Anna worked VERY hard on her valentines, writing not only her name but also her friends' names on her cards (and all without Mommy's help...I was distracted making bows!). She did grow tired after a while so Mommy took over writing the names, but she made a valient effort...good work, my little cupid!

Anna and Kate both had a great time at Anna's school Valentine party. Kate's class was still a bit young to get involved in the festivities, so Kate was more than happy to just join the "big kids" in Anna's class for their party.

Anna put together little gift bags for each of her friends, and loved getting to put each of them in their Valentine "mailboxes". This girl's got a lotta love to share...

Little Foodie

We're starting to venture into the world of solid (not smushed up) food with Kate. She's a big fan. We're starting with puffs, peas, small pieces of eggs, etc. I get the feeling that she's ok with that, but is hoping that we'll just go ahead and jump to whatever we're having for dinner (lasagna, enchiladas, etc.). Be patient, Kate, we'll get there!
