On Friday night we braved the cold and took the girls to see some beautiful Christmas lights at a local park. We're lucky enough to have a pretty nice Festival of Lights only about 10 minutes from our house, and it proved to be a real hit this year! Kate braved the cold with the help of her super-cute handknit hat--thank you Melanie!! She loved it...

Anna has a mild obsession with Christmas lights this year, so thought the whole thing was fantastic!

Trying to get a preschooler to stand still long enough to get some good photos with the flash turned off of a point-and-shoot camera proved to be a bit of a challenge that night. Yet another argument for needing an SLR camera...

And even better example of the challenge of no-flash photography at night with a preschooler. Oh well...I had to capture (and post!) Anna's "gig 'em"...
