I think I had avoided the idea of taking the girls to Chuck E. Cheese because in my head I just associated it with sub-par food, spending lots of money on silly games, and total and complete chaos. Well, my friend Melanie suggested that we go there for one of our Adventure Fridays, and did that ever change my mind! Not that they're serving gourmet food in a calm, serene environment or anything, but it was way more fun than I expected! And, in the middle of the day in the middle of the week, not very crowded (or chaotic) at all!
Kate was mildly obsessed with this Bob the Builder ride. I was so impressed with the number of rides/games they had that were doable by one Kate's age.
And, lucky for me, the "no tokens required" little climbing play structure was one of Kate's favorites. It was low enough that she could do it by herself, and she just thought that was fantastic!
(That being said, I am NOT looking forward to the fact that Anna is insistent on having her birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Twenty to thirty of her closest friends at Chuck E. Cheese on a guaranteed-to-be-mass-chaos Saturday or Sunday? No, thank you. We'll see...)
