The Adventures of Anna and Kate

Meteoroids

Thursday, December 23, 2010

Anna ventured into the world of team sports this summer and decided to play t-ball. Part of me was so excited (as a former softball player and baseball stat girl), and part of me was pretty hesitant that she was a little too young to "get" t-ball. Well, as I'm learning again and again--I should probably just trust her judgement! She loved it!

Hanging out with some of her fellow "Meteoroids" before a game...

Batting was definitely her favorite (followed by a close second of running around the bases)...

Whether or not she could catch a fly ball was far less important than how darn cute she looked in that little uniform...I mean, please...

I kind of thought the dugout time would be "boring" for the little ones, but they actually loved it! I think they liked hanging out with their "friends" while they waited their turn to bat.

"Hanging out" in the dugout. I helped out in the dugout being sure that the right kids were getting ready to bat and into the "on deck" circle. Anna kind of (pleasantly) surprised me with how adamant she was about being sure that I helped out every game. (Selfishly, I really like that she likes me being involved with her activities!)

And, let's be honest--the best part of the whole game...post-game snacks!

Running in after her last RUN of the season. She loved the whole experience, and is already asking me about playing again in the spring...
