One of the many things that I love about Anna's class this year is the TONS of (meaningful) field trips that they take--at least once/month. In September, they were studying France, so went to Kemah for beignets.
Admittedly, most of the kids enjoyed the powdered sugar more than the beignets themselves. They also got to see the people making the beignets, which they thought was fascinating (even though it mostly consists of cutting dough into squares).
And, the "icing on the cake" was getting to go to the Kemah playground and play with their friends! Anna had a great time climbing up the ladder again and again with her friend Elena.
They decided to take a group shot of everyone on the slide. Lesson learned: put the heavier kids on the bottom and lighter kids on the top.
Anna and her friend Ava had such great times sliding together...
This turned out to be a bit better place for a group photo...room for everyone...
