We went to a birthday party at McDonalds for a friend of the girls', and Kate so surprised me with how adventurous she was! Climbing up the playstructure, and even deciding to venture into the tubes of the slides by herself.
I was hesitant to let her go at first, but was soon calmed by her older sister...
Anna: "Mommy--just let her go. She'll be fine--I'll take care of her! I'll stay with her the whole time." Well, I guess that is a reassuring argument...so, off they went...
And, Anna did indeed stay with her and take care of her. She even held Kate aside for other kids to pass so they didn't run over Kate. Kate--you may never fully know or appreciate it, but I think Anna will take care of you for your whole life long!
After tending to her sister, she did need a little playtime herself. Responsible? Yes. Still silly? Always.
